US (USD): U.S. Building Permits – Building Permits measures the change in the number of new building permits issued by the government. Building permits are a key indicator of demand in the housing market.

A higher than expected reading should be taken as positive/bullish for the USD, while a lower than expected reading should be taken as negative/bearish for the USD.

The previous reading was 1.498Mbetter than the expected 1.487M. The next report is due on December 19, 13:30 GMT. Its forecast stands at 1.470M.

UK (GBP): U.K. Gross Domestic Product (GDP) YoY – Gross Domestic Product (GDP) measures the annualized change in the inflation-adjusted value of all goods and services produced by the economy. It is the broadest measure of economic activity and the primary indicator of the economy’s health.

A higher than expected reading should be taken as positive/bullish for the GBP, while a lower than expected reading should be taken as negative/bearish for the GBP.

The previous reading came out to be 0.6%, better than the expected 0.5%. The next report is due on December 22, 07:00 GMT. Its forecast stands at 0.6%..

EU (EUR): Eurozone Consumer Price Index (CPI) YoY – The Consumer Price Index (CPI) measures the change in the price of goods and services from the perspective of the consumer. It is a key way to measure changes in purchasing trends and inflation.

A higher than expected reading should be taken as positive/bullish for the EUR, while a lower than expected reading should be taken as negative/bearish for the EUR.

The previous actual data was 2.4% less than the forecast 2.7%.The upcoming report is due on December 19, 10:00 GMT and its forecast figure also stands at 2.4%.
